Our Services

A Janazah (funeral) service includes but is not limited to:

• Removal of the body and transporting the body to the Funeral Home.
  
• Washing and Shrouding. (We provide all necessary supplies)
  
• Transport to Place of Funeral Prayer. (Salat-ul-Janazah)
  
• Transport to Cemetery.
  
• Filing the Death Certificate and Providing Copies.
  

This Facility also serves as an educational platform for learning about the Janazah.

Islamic funeral (Janazah) Etiquette:

• Both men and women should dress modest and conservatively.  For women it is best to wear loose fitting long garments. When attending a janazah at the masjid, women should respectfully wear a head covering and everyone should wear clean socks because the shoes will need to be removed.  
• Crying is permissible but loud wailing is not.  
• Guest should not take photos or use recording devices at the service or burial. 
• Traditionally, only men attend the service and burial. However, modern communities allow women and children to attend.  
• No unnecessary discussion should take place at the burial.  All guests should pray for the soul of the departed.  
• Be prompt or early for the service.  Most services last from approximately 5-30 minutes.

What is a green burial? Simple and natural. Green burial, or natural burial, ensure the burial site remains as natural as possible in all respects.

• The use of natural, eco-friendly materials such as cotton, linen or wool for a shroud 
• The use of cardboard, wicker, banana leaf and  other sustainable materials for caskets 
• Encourages rapid decompensation and return of nutrients into the soil
