On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, God gently closed the eyes of our beloved Dorothy Wiggins, also known as Dot as she entered into eternal peace. Dorothy was a stylish and fashionable 96 year old.
Dorothy was born November 24, 1922 in Pottstown, PA to the late Willie and Ida Ellis Williams. She was the youngest of 15 children. Dorothy was educated in the Pottstown and Philadelphia school system.
As a young woman, Dorothy worked for a factory company for 3 years, but in the end she dedicated her 30 years at Easter Seal, where she was a teacher for disabilities or special needs children. Dorothy retired but for some reason she couldn’t stay still. Dorothy was a woman who could inexplicably make you feel good just by being around her. She was the “glue” to her family. Dorothy was the sunlight to everyone’s darkest days. She loved to shop, she was one stylish 96 year old. Dorothy had a caring heart that warmed and embraced you, she will be truly be missed.
Dorothy was married to the late Percy Cleveland, 6 children were born from the union. Ellena Cleveland, Patricia and Paulette Cleveland (twins), Tyrone Cleveland, Marlene and Minerva Cleveland (twins). She later married Walter Wiggins.
Dorothy rejoins her love ones Willie and Ida Ellis Williams, her three daughters Ellena, Paulette and Marlene Cleveland, and her grandson Greg Cleveland. She leaves behind her three amazing children,
Patricia, Tyrone, and Minerva Cleveland, 15 grands, 52 great grands and 51 great great grands. Five first cousins Marlene (Richard) Hedgepeph, Bruce (Tina) Mills, Sheila Nelson, Kennard Mills, and Vanessa Williams. She also leaves behind a ton of family and friends.
